The Alligator Swamp Tour
Not a bad way to start the year really. This was the sunrise on New Year’s Day at the Gulf of Mexico.
I got to drive this Ferrari around the track, though they limit you to about 200 km/h. This Ferrari takes 3.2 sec to reach a 100 km/h – makes the Aston at 4.7 sec seem a little “sluggish.”
I often get teased about my extensive pop music collection. Just to show I have eclectic taste, here is proof of something slightly heavier (though I wasn’t one of the black t-shirt highly-tattooed brigade).
No experience but I’ll take a look …
Starting to look like a real race car.
Thankfully my mate Brad didn’t really let me touch anything.
We just got back from Vancouver and Seattle for a conference. Here are some photos.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge … reminded me of what the ground feels like during a quake.
Transport to the top of Grouse Mountain.
Transport to Victoria.
Victoria
The very first Starbucks.
I got my new passport in April this year. In the last month, I have travelled into Canada and Australia, and into the States twice. Only on my return to New Zealand was it picked up that my passport was not signed. Lucky it is not an important document that anyone looks at closely!
I thought the Ferrari 458 made the Aston look a little sluggish, though this Bugatti makes the Ferrari look sluggish.
Tour de France as seen from our hotel balcony.
The Pantheon.
The Colesseum.
The Vatican.
Portofino. A beautiful little town with quite a few super yachts not too far away.
Montepulciano – a beautiful medieval cobbled streets town.
Venice. Our hotel was right next to the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal.
When in Rome, I mean Venice, you have to have a gondola ride.
The Blue Grotto. You need to lie down in the row boat to get through the small cave hole to get into this though worth it once you do.
